Female with American accent said she was from Companies House (then said she was from companieshouse.co.uk).

Said she wanted to check the records they held for our company were up to date.

I said she was wasn't from Companies House as they'd never cold-call like that and advised her that she shouldn't lie. I then put the phone down.

Same deal - American woman claimed to be 'maintaining the companies house website' - she put the phone down when I said I did not believe her.

i also had this american woman claiming to be from companies house - she did have some details of our company ,but not its registered ltd company name (as it is with companies house) or our incorporation number
i made my excuses but afterwards thought it was well dodgy - what could that be about?

American woman said she was from companies house and wanted to check our details where up to date!
