asking to verify home address and place of employment for a client for a legal matter - SCAM - anyone you have business with would have your information - do not provide any info to these people

Received a call from this number with a somewhat ominous tone that I needed to sign off on something for a man named Charles, whom I do not know. The message said they had my social security number and all this other crap. I called back and was told my number would be removed. Hopefully it was, otherwise I am reporting to the authorities. No stranger would have my information and it seemed like they were literally just calling a list of people in my area code with the same last name as me and my last name is super common. Waste of their time and mine.
