Called and did not leave a message. I called them back twice. It is a "Rewards Club" bribe of $100 gift card in exchange for some personal information, some of it gathered surreptitiously. For example, they ask your year of birth under the guise of proving your age. The phone number says Philadelphia and yet the agents said they were in Sacramento. They want "just one charge of $3.95 for postage and handling" on a credit or debit card. Big language barrier, which is normal, and they won't shut up and listen to you. I never got a straight answer that I could understand as to the name of the company, nor where they were located. They just wanted a credit card number. "You have nothing to worry about, any charges on your credit card will be backed by your bank," a process I'm certain they know all too well!
Scammers. Frudsters.
At first they got my number from "a (nondescript) rewards club (I) belong to," and the second phone operator sait it was from a website I'd visited.
Danger, Will Robinson!
