Probable FRAUD. Caller claimed to be from Bank of America, and knew my name. But she then immediately demanded to know my birth date--which I had already provided on my credit card application. This is a major NO-NO! No reputable bank would call a customer to demand personal information that the bank already has.
If you CALL this number, you will be connected to a debt recovery specialist at Chase. It is legit. If you GET A CALL *FROM* this number, there is a chance it is a scammer who is "spoofing" the legit number.

He is so stupid He has no record of nothing, besides my wife has "excellent credit" and this company and this guy are delinquent and intend to fraud people by scaring them and make this public. This number is, in fact, a SCAM. Because I was unable to answer this call, they left a message. The message begins, "Hello, this is... hello, this is United Healthcare Community Plan calling for [yes, they knew my name]. Please call us toll-free at 1-866-384-6171 and enter the 7 digit confirmation code so we know it's you [redacted]. [Message repeats] Thank you. Goodbye.".
Initially I called the number back, but before entering the 7 digit code they provided, I decided to simply Google the number they called from to verify its association with UHC. The ONLY results were pages like this. I called UHC who checked with their Housecall Programs & verified that this number is not affiliated with them at all. I was ultimately transferred to their fraud dept. who stated that the previous call they received was about this exact phone number. If they call you & you want a laugh, just waste their time. Caller did not say who they are wanting to speak to. Message left saying they were with VanGroff Williams regarding a collection, and we need to return their call at this number 866-820-5313. I tried several times, but received various recordings including one that says the area code is not in service. Guess they'll have to send me a letter since they stated no name of whom they're trying to contact and I can't call them.
