Received multiple calls, when answered the caller identified himself as representing the IRS and advised my wife that due to failure to file a tax return she was going to be arrested and the police are on the way. The caller provided a IR reference number and this number to call back.
I called back, they immediately answered in broken English and transferred me to an aggressive, broken English, Brooklyn accented guy. I asked for what year the failure to file taxes concerned and under what authority the arrest warrant was issued considering she had never been served papers. The caller asked me if I am too stupid to understand the urgency in resolving this (he didn’t suggest how to resolve but I imagine he would have accepted plastic), I asked the purpose of the call, he advised to inform us of the imminent arrival of the police and the need to obtain the services of a lawyer.
As all taxes are up to date I laughed and politely bid him farewell.
The lady of this number said she worked for IRS, want ask some personal information, otherwise, put me in Jail.
It is fraud. this woman claims that she is from IRS, and saying she is in an investigation, asking my info.
I received a call that told me I was to to receive free grant money and give me a grant number which was JC216 and a phone number to call which was 347-699-2235 when I called they said I was to receive $7000 in grant money but I was to go to Western Union and send them , at that point I cussed the person out and told them I knew it was a scam.
Impersonating the IRS . Pretending i have a warrant and .. I cut him off. The name he used for me is not the legal name used for any Tax issues.
They calling me at five In the ducking morning and then called back when ignored the call wtf
Picked up, no answer. I have no idea who this was or what it was about, but suspect a telemarketer, probable scam.
