Said the phone call was about an enforcement action by the US treasury and if I didn't respond I would go before a grand jury for a criminal offense. I blocked the phone number. The US treasury would send a letter, not a phone call.
This is a call from an attorney's office stating their collecting on a bill from 2008. I asked for a copy as I was hospitalized for an accident for nearly 1 year & had my sister taking care of my finances. The woman who called said they didn't have to provide a bill, I had to go to HBSC to get it but the attorney was going to sue me in 2 days if I didn't pay. I have no documentation and it has been 8 years since the debt.
Received a voicemail with several seconds of silence followed by "Hello, Mr. M***?" as if they thought i had picked up the phone rather than intentionally leaving me a voice mail. Very likely a telemarketer. Looks like the number has been looked up here and other sites a few times before with some people saying not safe, so that's enough for me to say "not safe"
This phone is calling me every two days.I am very tired of that.Please, tell me from what place it originated the call.
Caller had a foreign accent and said he was from the United States Grant Department and I won a Grant which I absolutely silly because I never applied for one.
Got a text that said something about a YAHOO Verification code.....
I have no idea why as I was not on Yahoo at the time.
He wouldn't tell me why he called me or how he got my number. All he was asking is if I am Mexican.
