Calls at 1-4am every morning grin all different #s not just this one and sometimes threats with it
i was given this number and would like to know if it is listed as a scam number
Received a call from this number by somebody in Washington state, which is odd because I live in New England and don't know anybody out there. I assumed it was a scam so I didn't answer. No message was left. Glad I didn't pick up.
Recorded call says that they are the IRS and are getting rating to file a lawsuit against me, and to call back only at the number posted.
A man calling himself "Carlos Torrez" with a very thick accent, called saying he was calling from the IRS and that they did an audit of my taxes for the years 2008-2013, and that I owed $3867.23, and that if I did not pay it they were going to freeze my bank accounts, put a lien on my house, blah, blah, blah. I told him I wanted them to send me documentation through the mail so my lawyer could go over it. He said the documentation was already at the court house in Washington D.C. I said I still wanted a copy. He said "Well, see you in the court house, and you better have $18000.00 as a retainer to pay court costs. I said "You really need to work on your English", and hung up the phone. Scam.
