Calling from Vehicle Protection; real voice; trying to sell me a warranty for my car. I have blocked several numbers each time they call and asked them to remove me from their list.
It is a robo call claiming to be the IRS, stating they are starting proceedings against you. IRS does not phone, they write. this is a scam. Do not reply, do not give information and report call immediately.
William Parker called to tell me that the goverment is giving me $7000.00 that I an received today. He has my name and address, I started asking questions and then he hang up on me
CALLER SAYS HE IS OFFICER MARK JORDAN BADGE #FTA50107. HE CALLED MY ELDERLY (LATE 90'S) PARENTS HOUSE SAYS HE IS WITH THE IRS AND THE ATTY GENERALS OFFICE. MY PARENTS OWE BACK TAXES FOR 2008-13 AND HAVE BEEN AUDITED.. THEY WILL SEIZE BANK ACCTS, AUTOMOBILES, AND HOME AND THEY WILL SERVE 5 YEARS IN PRISON.
HE ADVISES THAT MY PARENTS CAN RESOLVE THIS MATTER BY SENDING $10,000.00 BY MONEYGRAM TODAY
