I just got a text from this number saying, "Welcome to Uber! Enter 2859 to confirm your number."
Uber already has my information. I'm not about to confirm there's me at the end of my phone number.
So if you get a text like this, and you're already using Uber, don't confirm your number.
Repo Man. Uses skiptrace techniques. He will also call friends and family acting like a new company that you applied to work for, get credit from, or just be real general about "you listed them as a reference". Then he asks them to verify your address and phone number etc... Boom GOTCHA! Not so fast sucka.!! Please don't find yourself in my position. Pay your debts and do the right thing because it's the right thing to do.
Guy named "Nick" says he's a student loan forgiveness person and can help with student debt.
They call every day sometimes multiple times trying to get me to give them money for extended warranties, hella sketchy
This caller called my mother. They asked for her to give her name, birthdate and Social Security number. When asked who they were and what the call was regarding they would not disclose that information. My mother told them that she would not give out any personal information on the phone and please tell her who they were. They told her if she wanted to find out who they were to look on her collar ID and call back. So from a different phone we called back and got an immediate recorded message "thank you for calling, your call is important to us, please stay on the line for the next available operator. So they got nothing and thankfully my mother did not give out any of her personal information.
The person behind this number is named Teresa Brown and she enjoys calling individuals and businesses while very drunk, slurred speech included, threatening to bring up a class action lawsuit again the individual and/or business. When you are an employee and you attempt to transfer her to someone in charge, she immediately hangs up. If you see this number, do not answer it. She is a scammer.
