This number comes across as Out of Area - 305-910-2310. No message is ever left. I chose to answer and was 'greeted' with a telemarketer who lied, was evasive, and eventually rude and condescending upon me requesting to have my number removed from the call records. No reputable charity would have procedures, or employees, such as these. I chose to block this caller. Shameful business tactics Intermedia Communications, Inc.
I'm a massage therapist and this man Steve call me from this number to make an appt. I went to 1000 west ave #804, miami beach, and he text me that I didn't go to the front door, he will see me in the back of the elevators. I didn't trust him and i went to front desk to verify his apt number. The 804 owner didn't know about this man. He din'd wanted me to go to the front desk because he wented to take me to another apt. I left the building with my heart pounding...that was scary
Received a call from "Martin Thomas" who had an eastern Indian accent. He said he was technical support for Microsoft Software, and that he is calling as a courtesy because "there is a virus on your computer".
I have to say these types of calls make me very suspicious. I asked where he was located, and what the name of his company was. He said his company is called E-support. I asked him what his direct phone number was, he said 1-888-514-1650.
He told me he wanted to know the name of every person in my household. I told him I wouldn't give him that information. He asked why not? I said "because if all you are doing is removing viruses, then that information doesn't help you".
Then he wanted me to pull up the run command box by hitting control + R. Then he had my type in msconfig, and I did that, and of course all of the microsoft file folders came up. He asked me if I saw any files, I said yes. The he said"oh no, that isn't good, all of those files are viruses". I told him that was hogwash, and that these
Mentioned the iPhone was on the street and trying to find the owner. Mentioned number was listed in the directory.
This is a scam. They are calling businesses in the Miami area claiming to be FP&L and stating that your electric bill will be shut off if you don't pay in an hour. Ignore these calls…I called FP&L and they said that there was currently a scam being operated in Miami.
