Asian called me and very convincingly told me I had problem with MICROSOFT - a hacker was trying to get in - and he was from windows MS....He took me to the 'run' page and even knew my computer number....Took me through stages and when we got to the REMOTE take over screen I wouldn't go ahead. He put me on to his supervisor who asked me to type in letter by letter D I R T Y F A N N Y - and he put the phone down....then I was sure it was a SCAM. Very rude and upsetting. DON'T FALL FOR IT.

I just had a call from this number about a problem that is affecting my computer, after receiving a few instructions i told him my computer was fine and he told me to enter a code to make the problem go away, i told him i had 4 other computers in the house and he told me i had to pick one and that one was somehow the problematic computer ^_^
he then repeated to tell me what to do until i told him that i was an it technician and i built the computers and i know that it was a scam, he called me a few words and hung up the phone.

I had this call. An Asian man saying he's from Microsoft saying that I had a problem on my computer. I asked him which one, I have four, which stumped him. I'm afraid I called him a rude word and told him to go away.

Stated from Microsoft Windows. Said they had received many alerts from my computer regarding downloads from other web addresses making computer run slow. Said only they could fix it before computer crashed. They ran share my computer and said they would ring me back in one hour. I became suspicious and contacted HP help desk who said it was a scam and to close all their windows and disconnect from my modem. After I did this the "gentleman" from "Microsoft" rang me and threatened me by saying he had placed a password on my computer so I could no longer use it or any other computer, He became very abusive and kept ringing me after I had hung up. I reported these calls to BT but as they are international calls they could not block them.
