Update on my post from 30 mins ago: I contacted the person whose name they said. That person (M) said that another person (J) and another person (D) got calls too. D called the # back and they said that M got the call because she was married to another person (H) and H is the one they are actually looking for. They said that they are a debt collection agency. I know all of them and H seems like he would have shady debt collectors after him, so I can't outright dismiss the legitimacy of the debt. I can state that this debt collectors' method is OUTRAGEOUS. I don't even have advice for you guys. I might just block everyone's phone #s.

PS - I did post this on a different site, so don't think I'm weird if you see this same story elsewhere. I just want to make sure that anyone looking up this # knows what they're dealing with.

I received a call from (361) 557-3140 saying that "their office" had received a complaint with my name and social security number. It stated I should call 888-813-6369 regarding the issue. I googled the 888 # and it is linked to scams. I assumed it was connected with my Sprint account, since the name they said is not my name but someone that I shared a phone account with. I can't imagine how else anyone would associate that name with my number. Very weird. I did not answer. I will not call back.
