called me and said the IRS was suing me..
I am a Canadian living in Canada.....

I got the same message. I called back. Unlike a real IRS agent, he did not immediately give me his badge number. He asked for my telephone number. Seeing as they had already called it and it's a landline in the phone book, I gave it to him. He then hung up. An obvious scam.

Left a recorded automated message that it was the IRS filing a lawsuit against us.
