The phone rang earlier this morning, and the moment i answered the call; the caller hung up. I barely said hello.
Unknown, asking for information, first tried to identify occupants without disclosing who they where and what they wanted.
A rude man called Nick kept asking about a cpap machine and wanting to sell accessories. When pressed, he revealed the name VERUS HEALTH CARE in Nashville, TN. Yet the number shown on my phone was a Long Island NY #631-930-3900. Total scam. BEWARE.
says my computer has been hacked. wants me to boot up so they can show me where hack is located. middle eastern/Indian accent
LEGIT! 800-466-7295 is Canada Trust Loss Prevention aka TD Bank if you are from the USA. They are calling because they have detected suspicious transactions on your credit card. I returned their call by phoning the number on the back of the credit card (yes, I am paranoid just like you, in case the phone number 800-466-7295, was not legit, but it is.)
It turns there were several declined transcations for amounts from $0.76 to $800 USD, which is a bazillion CAD$. (Gee, thanks, OPEC, for the cheap oil :( )
I'm glad TD detected the activity, and contacted me. They will cancel the current card and issue a new one.
In conclusion, 800-466-7295 is a legit phone number, which you can confirm by checking TD Canada Trust's website.

A guy, Adam Draper, is calling about technical classes one might want to take.
This is most likely a scam call,in which the person(s) is pretending to be my bank and asking me for my account number,which the bank would already have. I have already gotten seven calls in the last three days from April 5th to the 7th. On the 7th,they did call three times,so I do know that it is a scam,and is not a safe call for me.
I received a call from this number and when I answered no one talked. Bunch of scammers I say.
