called to set up a pickup of donations for the Cancer Federation thrift store located in zip code 14218 ... Never heard of them before so I went checking. The BBB has no listing for this as a charity. Found it as an LLC and called ... the store said they donate a portion of their profit to this charity out of California. Could not find anything about this charity at the BBB in California either. They have a website and are listed with the IRS as a secion 501C ... but I'm not going to give them anything because it sounds shady to me.
This scam company has many numbers. They are called mediation services and they will not give you their address, if they give you one it is in a general location in New York. They usually change their number when you are catching on to their scamming. They use scare tactics to make people feel that they have unpaid loans. Someone needs to report these people. They need real jobs.
