i just got a call from Julie Right, regarding supplies on your electric bill. It sounded not so real. I noticed that it's a scam! I'v also got instructions to call back in order to pay a bill or something. I think it's a Brookline Massachusetts phone number!
Male called me at 8:45pm from this number and stated that he was with the American Quarter Horse Association for membership renewal. He is NOT a representative for this association. Please don't give your personal information to this person. IT IS FRAUD! He is fishing for your banking information. He knew my name and that I owned quarter horses. When I questioned him, he hung up.
Called my number that is listed in the phone book because my last name is the same as my ex husband. A woman asked to speak to the owner of my ex husband's former business. Seems she doesn't have a clue who owns it now, and she is fishing for information. Not wanting to waste my time trying to help her, I told her the truth. She has the wrong number. The collection agency that called me has contracts, but they have no current registration, LOTS of complaints, yet a "B" rating thru the BBB (tells you how poor that organization is at grading businesses). Their license to operate under that name expired in 2000. So that tells me they are not only ignorant, but illegal. Yet when I go to court, and listen, I find that our courts are lazy, often do not care who shows up, or if their paperwork is in order. So it's a waste of time to sue these desperate and unlicensed people. BLOCK this number. Forget they exist. Bottom feeders who can't even afford a lawyer to straighten out their own paperwork are not w
